DAYS OF
DRAGONS
is a series of five counted cross stitch designs, each
featuring a central circular panel with four smaller corner
panels connected by an intricate border. The colors of
the dragons are taken from the sky and sun at different times
of the day, while the border colors link all five designs
together to form a series.
NOON
BASKING
is the first of five dragons in the
Days of Dragons cross stitch pattern series.
Other patterns in this series:
2. Midnight Hunting
3. Dawn Awakening
The sample is stitched on White linen using two strands
of floss over two fabric threads.
Approximate design size (195 x 199 stitches):
12.5" x 12.5" on 32 count linen
14.25" x 14.25" on 28 count linen
The pattern has six pages. The backstitching chart is shown seperately upon the reverse of each page. This design is only available as
a chart pack.
Price: $15.00

Noon Basking contains a large number of ¾ stitches, particularly within the border. Here you will find a F.A.Q. giving guidelines of how to treat these ¾ stitches.

Nov '03 - Removed the recommended speciality floss DMC Art.273 Antique Gold as it is discontinued. Changed the pattern to recommend using two strands of 205C Kreinik Metallic Cord (a single ply cord) instead of taking 205C #4 Braid Kreinik Metallic and splitting it. Two strands of this cord are blended into the border. Instead of using two strands of 205C, a single strand of Access Commodities Bijoux #425 Pyrite can be substituted. The Bijoux is closer in tone (old gold) to the original DMC than the Kreinik but is harder to obtain.
